Senior Full Stack Engineer (Next.js and Node.js)

You will build and ship web products for our clients, from the database up to the interface. Many projects use Next.js, TypeScript and Postgres, and you will often be the person who decides how a feature is put together and then builds it.

Senior here means you can take a vague request, ask the right questions and come back with a plan. You will review other people's code, help the mid-level developers when they get stuck, and talk to clients directly when a technical decision needs explaining.

Day to day:

• Build features across the frontend, the API and the database
• Design data models and write migrations that are safe to run on live data
• Review pull requests and mentor other developers
• Join client calls to scope work and explain trade-offs
• Keep an eye on performance, security and test coverage

• 5 or more years building production web applications
• Strong TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Solid SQL and data modelling, ideally PostgreSQL
• You have deployed and maintained something real, not only built it
• Comfortable explaining technical decisions to people who are not engineers

Nice to have:

• Experience with Prisma or Drizzle
• Some experience using language model APIs
• Past agency or client-facing work
