About the role
You will turn designs into fast, accessible interfaces for our client projects. The work is mostly React and Next.js with Tailwind, and you will sit close to the designers so questions get answered in minutes, not days.
We care about the small things: spacing that matches the design, forms that show useful errors, pages that work on a cheap phone. If you notice when a button is two pixels off, you will fit in.
The work:
- Build pages and components from Figma designs
- Connect the interface to REST and GraphQL APIs
- Make pages load quickly and work well on mobile
- Fix bugs reported by clients and testers
- Write tests for the parts that tend to break
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of professional frontend work
- Good JavaScript and TypeScript, and a solid grasp of React hooks
- Experience with Next.js or a similar framework
- HTML and CSS you can write without relying on a UI kit
- You can read a Figma file and ask about the gaps in it
Nice to have:
- Accessibility knowledge: keyboard use, screen readers, contrast
- Experience with animation or charts
- A few personal or open-source projects we can look at
Know someone who’d be a good fit?
